Expressive Arts Therapy is an arts-based approach to psychotherapy that engages and supports the participant through a process of creative expression to help them reconnect with their inner resources.
Expressive Arts Therapists offer sessions that integrate the use of visual arts, creative writing, drama, music, voice and movement as catalysts for personal inquiry, discovery and growth.
There is no previous experience with the arts needed. All are invited.
The very earliest records of humankind show us creating and making and playing. This is not new, or meant for ‘someone else’. Creative expression is a natural state/impulse that asks us to imagine what is possible so that we can become ever more intimate with all of our resources and innate potentials.
